Once you manage to get past its somewhat shocking changes, though, you’ll find it much easier to succumb to this strange sequel’s unique charms. The comparisons are obvious, and developer Bytten Studio has never shied away from them. It is, after all, a game that sees you collect various monsters across the world and participate in battles against other monster collectors. You can’t really talk about Cassette Beasts without talking about Pokémon.
